Utah Trip: Act 2, Scene 3

Exactly 2 years ago, Corey joined us for our 2 year anniversary as we climbed to the summit of Mt. Timpanogos. For our 4 year, we invited him to come along (as you saw from scene 2, he was not there). Not only was Corey unable to attend (something about work and deadlines, and blah blah blah blah. Accountants, they are all the same) but we weren't able to climb to the top of the mountain. It was still snowing on the mountain 2 weeks before we got there so it would be too much to climb it, most especially with Sweet Pete on our back. So, as you saw (scene 1 & 2)

we just did the cave and Stewart Falls, sans Corey.

However, this could not be a trip to Utah without seeing Corey, so we went to dinner with him and his lovely new wife, Ashley, of 6-ish months. And where else would you go for dinner in the Utah Valley except CAFE RIO of course!

I can almost taste it now....what I wouldn't give to have one right now.....)

(I ate the entire thing, tortilla and all, not a morsel left, and if you have had it before,
you know that's saying something.)

The evening was as enjoyable as you might expect. Lots of catching up, plenty of "remember whens", a good deal of laughing, and buckets full of sarcasm and sharp wit-ery. It was delightful. I love getting together with Corey. I love seeing Andy with Corey. And I love his new wife. Honestly, I was a little nervous I wouldn't like her, but she is delightful. And she is great for Corey. So now when we go back their way (wherever that way may be) I can look forward to seeing not only "Corey My Sweet", but Ashley as well. And hopefully, a little mounteer too.
